Whether you fly very often or on occasion, air travel has become a necessity for a lot of people. While business people travel much more, it is the family trips that can be stressful even if they are a once-in-a-year thing.
If you rely on commercial planes for your traveling needs, you should consider expanding. Flying private has become incredibly common in the recent years. These days, you don’t have to own or know someone with a private jet. You can easily find a great charter service for your private traveling needs.
There is no doubt that you will have to pay higher than commercial, but the price tag isn’t as high as you may think.
But, why would you want to pay higher to travel the same distance? Here are some differences between flying commercial and private.
Boarding
Let’s start with the beginning. Boarding a commercial flight can take hours. Your ticket will tell you to come in about two hours earlier than the flight time. That is to give you enough time to check in, book your luggage and pass through the gates. Then, you have to wait till the plane is ready.
But, commercial flights are unpredictable. There is no saying that your flight won’t delay. You might have to sit in the waiting area for a few minutes or hours.
When you’re boarding a private plane, you’re the only passenger. Whether it’s your first time flying private or not, the crew will greet you and take you right to the plane. In some cases, you will have to spend a couple minutes more to get a stamp on your passport.
The whole process takes a few minutes and you will be on the plane without waiting hours or dealing with delays.
In-Flight Meals
Commercial planes have the same basic meals for each passenger, and you will have to eat them whenever you fly with that company. They hardly ever change their meals.
If you fly business or first class, you can have a choice between a couple types of dishes and some fancy drinks. But, that is about it.
When you fly with a private jet charter with over 30 years of expertise, they can cater the meals to your needs. You can tell them the food, snacks, and drinks you would like to have on the plane. To make it better, you can eat whenever you want and get some tea to calm your nerves right away if you’re a nervous flyer.
Space
On a commercial flight, you are bound to your seat. The most you can do is stretch your legs on the way to the bathroom when the crew says it’s safe to unbuckle your belt.
When you fly private, you have a whole plane to yourself. Your jet might have sofas and very comfortable chairs. When it’s safe to unbuckle, you can roam about the plane and check things out.
The private jet might also have a separate sleeping area where you can get some decent rest. Moreover, your jet might also have a business area where you can get some work done. Not to mention, you will have a great Wi-Fi connection.
